Motorcycle intercom kit features a main control box that is powered by 2
AA batteries. The power consumption during operation is very low. It runs
for 40 - 50 hours on Alkaline batteries and round 30 hours on rechargeable
batteries
The main unit contains an FM RECEIVER with an automatic search function to scan for stations. Conections for accessories. The AE500 Intercom also has connection leads to attach a PMR RADIO with standard 2.5MM microphone connection and 3.5MM earpiece connection such as Cobra and Alan radios. MP3/DVD/CD connection 3.5MM stereo plug: when you plug any unit into this socket it will automatically cut off the FM radio. Mobile phone connection is via a 2.5MM stereo plug for most phones you can find suitable adaptors in most phone shops. the telephone has to be able to be programmed to automatic reception and adjusted likewise |

There
are 2 motorcycle headsets for closed face helmets with these radios. The
earpieces are 3 - 4 MM thick and will fit snug in to most helmets and
the microphone is 8 - 10MM thick and will velcro inside the front of your
helmet. These headsets come with a P.T.T.( PUSH TO TALK ) switch for both
rider and pillion, the rider would fit it onto the handlebar of bike.
The pillion would either put the P.T.T onto the grab bar or with the velcro
strip provided put it round a finger so you can press it with your thumb.
when you are talking to each other it will mute the FM STEREO/MP3 PLAYER
and if you plug in your mobile phone that will take priority over everything.

If
you are going out in a group with people that have radios on their own
and would like this kit to be able to talk to them we also sell radios
that can be added to this kit. You only need one radio, as when you
use this kit with a radio the rider and pillion can both hear the conversation
and both can talk back. |
